Rocket Launcher Competition

The water rocket launching competition was held on 24th & 25th of April 2007 at Jugra Stadium Banting. The competition participated by 13 secondary schools within the Kuala Langat district with objectives to instill the interest on physics amongst students.

The competition also exposed students to understanding momentum, velocity trajectory and building creative mind. Students created rocket from used plastic bottle mostly from 1.5 liter carbonate drink bottle. With the touch of creativity, students designed and built rocket that was launched from a specially constructed launch pad.

There were two categories of competition namely Trajectory-launch at 50psi for distance and parachute-launch at 60psi for sustained period on air. RSKL in collaboration with District Education Office donated 6 units of launch pad and sponsored the event.
