"Teaching to "fish" with nets"
(The Business-Oriented Award)
Renesas Peru Office
|
|
The young boys from "La Ciudad de los Ninos" ("Children City"), who are in the 4th and 5th grade of secondary school, learned
about networks, how do their work and how to manage them. The tutorial, guided by us, was a success and the manuals, prepared by
our workers, were useful. Also, they learned how to assemble and fix a computer. Finally, we gave them manuals to be used in
further classes. We also held a contest for who could make network cables the fastest. Now, they have a better understanding of
how to make networks and structural wiring systems for future years. Finally, there is a little get-together with the students,
where we can share some opinions and enjoy some MDD donuts with them.

into patterns, and sewing it, planting premium papaya seedlings, which was mostly done by Renesas volunteers and local youth,
conducting in-house training on producing milk squeezed from coconuts, including short presentations on assembling and using
tools and training on how to save coconut waste for composting, providing trauma healing: a short presentation on earthquake
preparedness followed by storytelling and games. The Singgalang Post and The TVRI (a nationwide TV netwroks) covered the story.
